On December 19, China Eastern Airlines Flight MU2158 from Shanghai Hongqiao Airport to Xi ‘an Xianyang Airport, produced the one millionth passenger of the large domestic aircraft C919. This means that since it was put into commercial operation on May 28, 2023, the C919 has carried more than 1 million passengers.

It is reported that as of December 19, 2024, COMAC has delivered 14 C919 aircraft to Air China, China Eastern Airlines and China Southern Airlines. The C919 operated by the three major airlines has opened a total of 15 routes, serving 10 cities.
